diagnostic tools?

Y'all.
I've seen references to various diagnostic tools/software - has anyone published a comparison of the various?..... I can't find one.

If not I'm happy to do the research and put it together. Well not happy but you know what I mean.

Well after 10 years of continuous use I can happily report that Testbook T4 is still working very well on a daily basis.But I did pay £9186 + vat for it.

I got a mailshot off Rimmer Bros the other day for a Lynx, or similar? Anyone tried it?

I use the Black-box Solution nancom Evolution and I'm very happy with it. Best bit of kit I've bought for the car.

Not really,it has been earning its keep ever since.It helped my income tax situation too.
I have all the CD's and connectors to do MG/Rover stuff,still a damn good earner for things like fob programming and engine ecu programming on R75/ MG ZTT where they suffer water damage...
Various people/companies have taken great delight in slagging Testbook off over the years,truth is it works and is still capable of programming ALL modules on LR/Rover and MG products up to 2006.Shame it was stopped by Ford.....

The best thing you can get at semi reasonable cost that does all you will ever need to do and can be kept in the glove box is Nanocom Evo. Only bettered by it's big brother. Unless you want to spend serious mega bucks.

This has been done many times previously - heck I think even I have given a summary a few months back....

If you do gather a comprehensive list together - get it into the 'How To' section so it can be seen as a useful point of reference as trolling back through the hundreds of posts since the last time this was done is a ballache...

Go for it, I am sure we would all like to offer our twopenneth to your findings
