Ive bought my new discs & pads which my mechanic is going to be fitting for me whilst my 300tdi 110 is in for other work. He's asked me to supply some extra bits and mentioned halfshaft gaskets, tabbing washers, pins, springs etc.

So what exactly do I need, and who sells the best kits?

Thanks, I've already got the discs & pads, it's the extra bits I need such as pins, springs etc?

STC8576 | Brake pad retaining kit

571752 | Drive flange gasket (hub gasket)

What are the 2 letters of your chassis number before the last 6 numbers?

Depending on them is to which washers and hub nuts it is. I'm guessing it's the 2 hub nuts with the bendy over lock ring though

FTC3179 | Hub bearing lock washer

FRC8700 | Wheel Bearing Locknut

1 x pad retainer pin kit
2 x flange gasket
2 x lock washer
4 x lock nut if you don't want to re-use your old ones although there's no reason why you can't

Cheers ratty. Your like a personal butler. Ill get them all ordered.

No probs.

Here is what you would get if you bought a full wheel bearing kit from paddocks but FFS don't buy one cos it's britpart.:eek::eek:

DA2381 | Hub Bearing Kit - Defender front or rear from LA

your flange bolts can be re-used with a bit of thread lock. The circlip can usually be re-used but you could buy a pair if yer worried. The lock nuts are usually fine to go again too. Your mechanic should have grease to hand so I wouldn't bother getting any. the rest is what you have listed up there ^^^:)

Everything ordered. Hope I got the quantities right for front & rear. Thanks for the advice ratty:)

Thanks ratty. Youve just made it onto my select special favourite list. Believe me, that's a hard list to get your name on. Congratulations. :):D
