Will I need a new block?

One of my spark plugs was really really tight I think it has been over tightened and has ####ed the thread. What should I do?

You could remove the plug and helicoil, head will want to come off to stop swarf though

I can't really afford to keep throwing money at a car thats not earning me any money back I need transport to get a job I'm qualified for and I don't think this land rover is going to cut it.

Thats the issue can't afford a tdi:-( so I'm stuck without a car till I can shift some of the parts.

Best bet just buy something cheap like a polo or golf thats gonna be reliable then break the disco or sell it whole

Other option if desperate would be to trade it in

As there is still considerable thread left I am hoping to just run what fanatic linked in and out to allow my new plug to go in! If not head off :fighting2:
