Cheers for the links, I've asked them the manufacturer, but to be honest, with all the rebadged stuff, could it not be the same as ****part with a different sticker
I am erring towards the Bearmach HD one at the minute, a few quid more, but if it doesn't fail for no reason like the ****part it would be worth every penny
Has anyone fitted one, or can anyone think of a reason not to go with the slightly more expensive option

Ye, i saw them mate, and I've message them, but Im assuming its the 'normal' and not HD, judging by the price
Cheapest HD one I've found is island 4x4, £141+ vat

why do you want an hd one a std one in good condition (cools all overcore etc)is all thats needed

I don't NEED one to be perfectly honest James, my reasoning is that it will last a lot longer, therefore saving money in the long run, and that extra £50, will hopefully, be worth it in the long run, just for the peace of mind.

often getting one fom a rad repair shop is best option ,ive had a good few re-cored better than cheap pattern

Best way to go West slope had issues on his rad and I advised go to rad shop had job done for 1/2 of new and is a happy camper....

Excuse my ignorance, but how does it work, would they fix what I've got?? Never had any experience of it

They can acid/steam clean the thing inside and out. do a pressure test for leaks and a flow test and then recommend repairs.
On my last truck the rad leaked where the transimission cooler line went into the rad.( plastic tanks)
Took to garage( friend) and new was like in the $400 price range. so called a rad shop talked to them , they said bring it in and the cleaned it, pressure tested, Took the plastic tank off put new seals back on trans cooling line, new tank seal, put together and tested for $180. so is a good savings. But took 2 days to do mechanic took out rad, then next morning when they opened I was there waited for repairs and truck was back on the road in afternoon

For a proper rad, you take it in, they strip it down, replace the cores then solder it all back together again and paint it!

Job done!!

My only concern with that would be them repairing what is ****part to begin with, you can't polish a turd and all that While it may pass any test with flying colours, bits if it would still be ****part wouldn't they and something I have absolutely no confidence in

That's the thing James, new or not I don't want ****part anything, I think Im going to go down the Bearmach HD route, yes its £50 dearer, but the day i spend swapping the rads I could have been at work and earned a lot more than £50, so I think the extra quality and peace of mind will be worth it in the long run. There's an Indy place on the way home, so I might just call in there in the morning, and see if he'll match on-line prices

Tis leaking, somewhere in the middle ish, can see from where, but the fins are all wet, going camping and stuff later on in the year, and don't fancy risking it getting worse in the middle of nowhere

Bought this one ^^^^^^ and finally got round to fitting it today, all went exactly to plan, just over an hour start to finish

Then realised I'd forgot to buy anti-freeze, 10mins after the shops had all shut:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

Good excuse for a water flush test the system and replemish when you get some

Buy a new radiator. Not likely. Straight into a rad specialist. New core and tanks for a 300Tdi the way I want them

Land Rover do not make radiators. They buy from the flavour of the month.
