Noisy engine after new transmission fitted

Hi guys, I need a bit of advise on something that is driving me mad. Last year I had a new transmission box installed on my 02 Vogue. Before the installation the car run as sweet as a nut. Since the instalation she is very noisy, it sounds like as though the exhaust is blowing from under the bonnet. I have jacked her up to have a look but cannot see or feel anything out of place.

Whilst she is ticking over she sounds fine but when I take her out, and for instance give her some revs going uphill she sounds like an old bedford lorry.

Guys, if anyone has goy any advise I would be dead gratfull.

Diesle or petrol??

Sounds like a cracked or loose/leaking exhaust....in some cases to drop the box, you have to remove the exhaust...my guess is it hasn't been fitted properly!

Deisel, That thought was at the back of my mind. Is there an easy way of checking.

Shove it back at the garage and get them to sort it at their cost.
