Steering tilt motor

Hello again. I have a running thread re eas but I have another issue with this motor. The steering tilt motor only rises up or down put does not go in or rise towards driver? I can sill hear the mor when you manually use the lever. Anyone got any tips. Repair guides etc. how hard is it? I read some place about this item being a factory recall? Any idea guys? Cheers

common problem, bit of an ass to fix from what i hear.

some of the broken parts cant be fixed so a replacement is the only option at a fair few hundred quids :S

common problem is that the shaft breaks away leaving the motor spinning freely.

does the column slide in and out if you was to push / pull it ? ie.. is it loose ?

Yep you can push it or pull.

sounds definitely like the common issue they fail with. the drive shaft has broken away from the motor.

never attempted a fix before on one, but others have on here.

a search will bring up some info
