Hello gents,

I need to sort out the suspension on my 110.

She's a grafter, and has to earn her keep dragging around logs, woodchipper/woodchips. But although a high cap, she drags her arse around worse than my Mrs. Her roar (as a V8) is still as strong as my Mrs's, but her bottom is sagging (as is my Mrs's) ;)

I took off the tub, and put a rather unique body on her (please see pictures on my previous post entitled "rare beast")

Anyway, I bought an airlift kit that Ive been meaning to fit, or get somebody else too, but hadnt got round to it. A few who i mentioned it too said that these are not the best thing to fit????

I am not that interested in a smooth ride, I just dont want her bouncing all over the place and being weighed down at the back.

What do you experts reccomend??? And any good garages/mechanics around south west london who could do this?

Cheers in advance,

Mark

If you want Rock solid you want HD springs fitted along with a self leveling bogie.

HD springs or "Helper springs that sit inside the main springs. Ratty has got em fitted IIRC.

If you want a better ride quality with great weight carrying capability then as redhand says, helper springs fitted inside the originals, or if your originals are knackered replace the originals aswell as fitting the helpers.

Great - Thankyou!!! Is it an easy job to fit helper's in? Airlifts no good? Cost of a good set of helpers with/without new coils? Would you reccomeend any companys?

Thankyou both gents!

It's pretty easy. The only problem I had was lining all the holes up. An extra pair of hands could come in useful.

Here's a link to the thread from when I asked the same question. It has the part numbers you will need too.

I think it cost me about £100 for the parts. I got Bearmach springs. I didn't want the back of mine lifted so i left my knackered original springs in situ. If you want to load it up to the max, you may be better changing the original springs too if they are sagging badly.
