Back to the electrical problem

Hi gain had the auto electrician around today to try to sort out the battery problem. Has anybody had this before, what is draining the battery is the front screen washers when the car was locked it was draining 2 amps with the fuse out down to half an amp anybody any ideas how to fix my man has gone away to look at the wiring diagrams.

You sure he didn't mean the front light wipers ?

As there a common fault for causing battery drains when the motor gets jammed it draws current

Drain should drop to 30 Milliamps when the BECM goes to sleep. Never heard of a problem with front screen washers causing battery drain. I'd check the under bonnet fuse box for sign/smells of burning.

The fuseboxes don't suffer the same problems as the p38 ones do

+1 to Headlamp Wipers

Disconnected the headlight. Wipers still had 2 amps draining so it wasn't them then disconnected the windscreen washer system and the amps went down to half amp

Not Head Lights....Head light Wipers......they don't park properly and as such continue to draw a current! Have to Check RAVE and see if the Headlamp Wipers are on the same fuse as the Washer motors
