Hydraulic press?

Hi all , hope you had a good christmas

been doing some internet browsing, looking at getting a press to do all my bushes and a-frame ball joint with. Sean a few up online at reasonable prices, dad also wants it to split some logs with. what sorta tonnage would you lot recommend for these uses? I think i heard it was 10ton needed for bushes and a frame, i had seen a 12ton one. Wanted to check your opinions before i buy

A 10 ton press will do most jobs but as for splitting logs with it you'd freeze to death, way too slow.

does that split the logs with ease ? and the bushes and a frame take priority if they only need a 10ish ton press thats what i will get and if they will do logs its a added bonus

27 ton log splitter you can do a cord of wood in a hour. No tree to big, done 48" maple with it

I want a kinetic/flywheel one. They sell in the states but not here. Easy affective and dad could happily do it.

Got polybushes to replace just cant seem to get the hack saw to do any damage

You need to burn the rubber out first as it is a hindrance on the blade cut into metal out of steel bush at six and twelve o clock until you reach the radius arm bash out with a sturdy hammer and chisel

Personally I think polybushes are a waste of money and don't last very long. I would stick with OEM bushes

I guess it depends on the make , how and what you do with your motor ie if your doing extreme driving all the time , but in most cases road use and Occasional play day ect they are fine I had a set fitted 5 years ago and they are still going strong that's my opinion

Fair play. Me and a couple of mates who fitted them didn't have good experiences with them. They seem to go very quick on the trailing arms when used offroad alot. Lovely to fit,but didn't last long.

Just had to remove some uj's and it took 15t before it poped out
