So today I took my ground anchor off (tow bar) as every-time I go off roading it's always getting court, it has got me stuck a couple off times now, where I could of reversed but the tow bar has dug into ground, I don't have anything I need a tow bar for, so I fort I'd get rid, only thing I have been using it for is being recovered or recovering , so now I need to fit some strong points I can use where's best to put them, is the standard bumper strong enough to weld on and recover of that, ideas and pics would be great cheers

Get yourself a tank guard. You can have best of both worlds, recovery points for d shackles and a removable drop plate if you do want to tow.

Jate rings look good think I will buy some of eBay , but only prob if the back end is in a ditch and cannot get to them I'm stuck lol, is there anything behind the bumper to fix to

If you put jate rings on when you go offroading put ya tow strap on them.wrap around ya spare wheel.get stuck throw the guy your strap he tows you out you wrap it round wheel again and off you go

Simples

I've got a couple of jate rings and a Nato hitch.
You'll need a heavy duty rear bumper if you want to accommodate a Nato hitch though as it has the relevant holes and required bracket with captive nuts to make fitting the hitch possible.

I got the bumper (which included the Nato bracket) from Craddocks: DA5647 - ONE PIECE HEAVY-DUTY REAR BUMPER 5MM STEEL DISCOVERY 200/300TDI - Discovery 1 Parts

I brought the Nato hitch itself from eBay, but it needed stripping down and refurbishing before I fitted it.
