Took my front brakes off to replace them - who knew they were different to the rear
Anyway, I only had rear pads. But I cleaned them up and cleaned the stiff callipers and put them all back together again. I need new disks, they have a massive lip.
Put some Wynns Gold Injector treatment in. It may be snake oil, it may change the octane rating of the fuel, but I got it cheap with a trade card!
Took it for a 50 mile run on the motorway. Including the slow stop start to get to the motorway and to get back home again, I got just under 26 mpg. Mainly 28 on the motorway - topping out at 30 at one point. But dropping off as soon as I was on any sort of hill.
So there you go. Brakes? They didn't get warm this time so I think it was brakes. I think maybe I had a sticking one. It did pull under braking. Or injectors?
Its too early, I'll keep an eye on it. 50 miles is still quite a short run. But things are looking up
