Well ive done it!!
After a whole year in a vectra i could take it no more
Ive just bought a epson green 98 s reg diesel p38with 130k on the clock and 10months test it s a good runner thats completly standerd
Its spent the last 10years been a farmers runaroundand as so the interior not in great shape but maniged to knock him down to a grand
The only mecanical problem ive found is its got a very hard to notice grumberly wheel bearing on the front right
Gona put some pics up once ive thrown a tub of wax at it
But ive already got a shoping list for it if anyone can help with anything

Pair of front fog lights+switch
Clear front indicators
Pair manual front seats in gray leather (black pipeing if poss)
Set of bigger wheels (got some 16"with good tires at the moment swops px? )
Pair of side steps
Cubbybox lid
And i think thats about it!!

Either re-locate the oil cooler or duct air to it. IMO the factory fogs are useless, I sold mine from my spares dog.:)
since there not programed into the becm i was thinking of wireing them up as drl's or extra fullbeam light
even if i dont use them i think it just stands out like theres something missing without them

Wammers has a fix for the cooling. It's illegal to use fog lights in normal visibility.
They can be switched on in the BECM.

Mine came with fogs fitted. But the bumper has been modified with air inlets. The bloke i bought it from towed a bloody great caravan with it all over Europe so i think the mod works. Will have to do some photos when i stop being a lazy bugger and post them on here. Basically the bumper has been cut out and part of the vent from the lamp position let into it, to the right of the fog looking from the front of the car. It also has a vent let in to the left of the fog. Very neat job and hard to tell it is not original. I have never seen another one like it. I don't tow with it but no issues at all from normal driving. :)

This is how I got round the problem, make sue you mount this as far away from the air temperature sensor or you'll get in on a freezing cold day and your car will show a toasty temperature lol

I carried out this mod at 109K and last week I went over the 140K barrier, so I’d say don’t worry about it just do it. I’ve towed caravans stuck vans stranded cars on snow, and never once have I had any fault or anything to worry about

Can just see the mod through the lower vents, nice and tidy so only a geek would spot it :)

Just loads the already marginal cooling system a bit more.

30K + miles and loads of towning with not a single problem, it can't be that bad??

I'd say as long as your' Rad is in good order and all the fins not cloggs with crap - you'll be fine?

As long as the cooling system is A1 as you say:)

I changed the standard rad on mine and was thinking about using the one with the oil cooler in the bottom, but decided against this and used a seperate rad for the autobox :) although I have heard people have done it this way without issues

The hardest part was getting the sensors back the aftermarket rad
