Hi folks. What alloy wheels will fit a series 3 and what sized spacers will I need if any. Thanks all

the big kids will get upset :(

quick use the search button and find the answer to the most asked question in the universe ;)

Obviously put my question in the wrong place. But how can I start a new one?

I think you should try a search. Questions about tyre sizes etc have been done to death and some folk get "tyred" (see what I did there?) of going over old ground when a search will answer you're questions.

That's possibly the most polite answer you will get.

However...... Alloys on a Series?:wtf:

Oh dear, looks like I've upset a few out there! :boxing: Just thought it would be more practical to use daily with some discovery wheels on.

I understand the reason for the question now. I have just looked at the pics of his landy on his profile.:screaming_bug_eye_f:screaming_bug_eye_f

I had a Series and the main problem was lack of power steering. I had some lovely Avon Rangemaster 750/16s which looked great. Don't get Disco wheels, I don't think you notice an improvement.

Sounds like a better idea and cheaper. Power steering would be great but something less to go wrong, plus my son is built like a brick s%*t house. Thanks

The type of wheels you have will not make any difference at all to it's practicality, the right tyres however may make a big difference.

Spot on. Get some Limestone steel wheels and some simple road tyres and you will be fine. It will look "right" as well. I have a small album of mine if you look.

Ther is a great power steering kit you can fit on a Series. I looked at it months ago. It might have been Jamesmartin that recommended it. Was it you James. Send him a PM.

TBH, i have never found the steering on a series to be all that heavy. As long as you stick to the standard size steering wheel, and not a small one from a car, it will not be too heavy at all. My missus even found my old 109 easy enough to drive.

That's the sort of wheel I would like. I'll have a good look around tomorrow. They might sell them at a land rover specialist by me?
