No stamped history either. You can see the situation I am in.
I got a receipt but figures don't quite match the actual cost and no VAT was shown as charged.
I know, this is a very hard lesson learnt. And only way I can see out of it is to diy the job with my friend. I love the car.
As long as it was dated during a work day and week when hey we're open to public etc and working on it as a proper job rather than a project on the side for a friend vat should be charged

Should really have kept the running one unless that was even more **** up ?

8-10 hours I'd say or that's what I was quoted on the last V8 so maybe 6-7 for a k series
