OH DEAR ! Yet ANOTHER post about the rubbish EAS system ! Im in the process of finding out the problem thats causing mine to be the same mate. Have you had it plugged in to a fault reader to find wat fault its flagging up ? It could be one of MANY things ! Faulty battery, faulty height sensor, faulty abs sensor, faulty steering angle sensor, faulty compressor:eek:, blocked/faulty pressure relief valve, faulty pressure sensor an thats to name but A FEW!! TBH im very disappointed in my car at the min ive always had bmws an never had a problem if i dont get mine sorted soon ill be chopping it in an be going back to the beemers. You will get everyone telling you it the compressor but do you really wanna fork out £300 for one when it may NOT be the problem ? The guys on here are a great help im sure more knowledge will be along shortly with more advice:)

Usual symptoms of the compressor failure

Mine done the same

The system shuts down the EAS so to protect the pump etc..

Get it on diagnostics first !

hi thanks trouble is most dealers are losers !! it did happen after the bettery had been disconnected ? but have disconnected the battery before and all has been well

i have had the air susp in active before this happended but before just turned the car off and turned it back on and thr error went away but for some reason this time no fault message on the dash

Did you turn the steering full lock to full lock and back to centre after you reconnected the battery??

As you would need to do this to reset the Steering Angle Sensor, before the Air Susp. becomes active again.

You have a fault because the battery was disconnected!
The air suspension ECM does not like, not having12 volts!

The only way to fix this is to plug it into a diag computer and reset all faults!

Dealer will charge £60 quid and take 2 hours?( ****ers) for a 5 min job!

Post where you are and hopefully someone will pop over with a reset tool and fix your fault for a cuppa and a pack of hob nobs.

thats B i have taken the battery off around 4 times and this has never happended before ? strange cars eh and also before the ride height light stayed on ? where as now its gone !
