Just been and bought my P38 Vogue as promised. Found a nice 2001 with LPG service history, 4 new air bags, air comp and valve block, for under £4500. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Drove it over 130 miles today and it feels great! didnt take long to get used to the size and feel of it. and as so many of said, yes they are F***ing quick :D:D:D:D:D

heres to many years of happy motoring and fixing the odd issue :)

Many MANY thanks to you all for the info you give on here, and guiding me towards the car i wanted. Cant praise you guys enough :):):)

years of happy motoring  :D

the p38 is fantastic and smile raising when on its game and its all working.,..then when its not and your having an issue-which norrmaly turns in to a nightmare, they make you pull your hair out

i remember reading all this before i got one when seeking advice..i thought "yeah il get a nice one it will all be ok" which you probably have, then the joy when buying and getting it .... a few months time, youl be there :D

looks tidy , well done , great beasts to drive and feel good factor

dont worry Steve, they knocked the price of the tax off the car lol.

dont know how, but the previous owner had the LPG fitted, but never registered. having to have it certified in the morning so i can get the tax sorted properly.

nice looking truck - like you I looked at loads before taking the plunge - to be fair even some of the more tatty ones I looked at, with the help & advice on forums like this, wern't beyond saving.

Had mine 15 months now and, apart from some minor niggles (that some wouldn't even bother with) it's been perfect - best thing I've ever driven & with LPG only being 63p/ltr here, you get the V8 experience for diesel economy

enjoy it

But having it certed and registered makes getting insurance easier...!!

Tidy looking car, congrats on the purchase,

you won't want to be:
out of it, without out, not looking at, polishing it, stroking it

you will be:
tearing your hair out, fixing it, swearing at it, frustrated with it

But that is all part of the fun!!

That is a tidy one, I thought the one I plunged on looked good, you've done well, the last owner clearly showed that girl lots of love. So far my school bus has done good, only small issues to solve, had it getting on for a year now with the biggest expense being tyres (I killed them last winter). Although the MoT test is due next month, so underpants wetting moment.

You'll probably end up getting rovanoia before long, every cluck, thunk, sequel and rattle has me paranoid something is about to go wrong. A P38 as your only car is a mistake.
