I'm in the middle of changing my diff and all the oils on my 300 tdi 90.

As I've read I took the filler plugs out first befor the drains, but I removed the filler from the transfer box and oil went everywhere?

Now I've owned this Landy since may and it's had a transfer box befor I got it, is it a simple case of someone has overfilled it befor they fit it?

Or have I missed something?

No looked nice and clean almost new. Just done the gearbox and that was a nasty colour compared with the transfer box so ain't that.

are you on a hill? :)

No on the flat drive way, it's had a transfer box on it befor I bought it and think its been filled up on the look on its back as such,

Took about 2l to the filling plug,

5l of ep80/90 filled both diffs and transfer box perfectly .

Now I have a Detroit locker in the rear and a trutrac in the front. Fresh gearbox oil to,

Just the engine oil to do at some point soon,
