I emailed Exec at Nokia and said that the 502 I had years ago was best phone I ever had then Nokia's went through what seemed like planned obsolescence where they fell to pieces or keyboards failed.

Symbian well that was just a spectacular disappointment, my opinion on windows phones was they didn't deliver the realities promised by microsoft marketing.

But if they brought out an android phone with robust quality like the 502 banana phone of years ago - I'd Buy one.

To my amazement I got a reply :D

Which said.........

I is not a bloody mind reader fanny, n I also don't av access to yer emails, so you is guna av got tell us :D

It must have been an embarrassing reply, he's not very forthcoming with it
Out with it Fanny, out with it now ffs :D

It was a pleasant reply from someone who accepted my points and also stated that he understood my comments and always replied.

I don't dislike nokia, they just haven't made phones that either appealed to me or didn't seem to suffer keyboard issues of the numerous ones I have had in the past.

My suggestion was a robust built android phone that came in at say £200-250 retail after initial release.
If Nokia built it and I was sure it had the build quality and spec-I'd buy one

I doubt they'll be around much longer. They lost 7.5% just yesterday, massive freefall since March/April currently trading at 1.71

Maybe he tapped out his reply to you from his blackberry just before he stepped off the window ledge.

I did suggest he looked like Edward smith at the helm of the titanic:D

My favourite ever phone, and I have smart phones, touch screens etc was something like the one in the second row, far right but even better looking.

A simple, smart looking phone for making phone calls. You could access the internet, take photos if you wish, but for me who just wanted it for calls and texts it was ideal. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, casing made of aluminium instead of plastic. They're now obsolete and a "new" one costs you over £100 from ebay.

Why don't phone companies realise there is a market for ordinary mobile phones for voice/text but not ones which look like they've been built for noddies.

The best phone I ever had (I've only ever had Nokia), was the "builders phone", I don't remember the number of it, but I had that thing for 5 years. Indestructible...It fell off roofs, into a water tank, etc, not a bother on it :D:D:cool:
