Hi, I have just brought new.....well new for me :)........series 3 109. Its on what i understand to be a rang rover chassie with standard gearbox and a perkins engine. I have got a few things planned for it in the future. Will no doubt be picking some brains soon as I try to identifie my engine.

:welcome: to the forum. Not sure if you're motor could be on a rangie chassis as they were only 100" long and the 109 being just that, unless it's been shortened.

We need pics ;)

Hi guys I now have a got a full set of pictures of the landy. I have some of the chassie, can see some signs of welding on the chassie so pos' extened it? or just old age :) Here is a link to the album Pictures by sharp1988 - Photobucket and here is a attempt at loading a couple of pic's.

Hopefully some one on here can spot something or tell me what to look for to help work out if its a rangrover chassie like i was lead to belive or not.

Looks to me like it's an early rangie with a series body on it.

Does the chassis number on the plate in the pic match the one on the dumb iron?

It was apparently a new chassie when it was fitted so I assumed it wouldnt be stamped with anything but have not checked it to be honest. Was told it was off a rangerover but need to check gotta do the a frame balljoint on the rear axle once I manage to get some axle stands big enough to hold it.

Because it been inspected but VOSA aproved technicians for over 10 years including recently by some one who actualy performs SVA tests as well as by 2 different fabricators from different companies.
