Have a nasty little ACE leak...don't know where it's coming from. Was wondering how much it would cost to have the whole system done away with and anti-roll bars put in instead?

I have a 04 v8 sitting in my yard with brand new front and rear anti roll bars and drop links on if your interested in them as it's a breaker with no engine. You'd need to change the route of the belt under the bonnet to bypass the ace pump probably needing a pulley/idler.

It's around 300 quid if you DIY ... i dunno how much would charge u a garage for the work there.

has it got the boot plastics? if so how much? and can you send/post a piccy of them.

I just had a Land Rover specialist remove the ACE system and fit standard anti-roll bars as the system was not working and the previous owner had decided to bodge it somehow but failed to tell me when I bought the darn thing.. needless to say I'm not impressed by his actions! - The garage quoted me minimum of around £300 just to find out if the system could be fixed or not, but said the last ACE system they fixed cost the owner £2K.. needless to say I was not going down that road!

I also had them replace the top and bottom ecu wiring loom as that was soaking with oil
Total bill came to £960 odd, I think £500+ for replacing the engine wiring loom.. another bill I don't really need right now, but I had to have it done quickly as I needed the vehicle for the weekend just gone.. pleasure to drive now though :)

I think you would be looking at around £400ish if a garage does the job, that just a guess though.
