Defender thefts on the news

Yet again theft of Defenders has gone up around here (Peak district) It was on the radio yesterday, a spate of thefts over the last few weeks
Is there any was to improve the standard fit alarm/immobiliser on my 2006 TD5 as I am told it can be disabled very quickly?

We do have other security measures on the Land Rover, but I'd like to improve the standard fit system if it's possible.

I'm looking at a Scorpion Track from MobileZone Vehicle Tracking. At £289 fully fitted and with a £150 per year or £350 for life subscription it's pricy but effective.

I had to put one on my caravan or I couldn't insure it! It works really well though and I have every confidence in it. I have set it off accidently a couple of times so I know it works. The last time was when I hitched up and had just left my drive when my mobile rang. It was the tracker 24hr ops centre asking me to confirm my van was where it was supposed to be! I hadn't even got the 50 yards to the end of my road!

Yep:5biagree::5biamwithstupid:IMO Ryder has the best available and very good prices ,and different things of what it can do. Have had a few PM's with him and very impressed with his products,price and service.
