Range rover L322 Problems.##HELP!##

Hi I have still got problems
1. Basically I had one of my front Parking sensors was not working (No ticking noise) so I swapped the passenger side and drivers side over to confirm sensor and not wire. I replace the broken sensor with a new one and still not working but all 8 sensors are ticking now. I now get a 1 off beep from the rear now which never happen before along with the token single tone to show fault.
Any ideas?

2. I swapped all the discs and pads over on the car and found one of the old rears had a crack in it. (Prior to changing I had a CHECK BRAKE PADS WARNING) After I swapped them I found the front sensor cable to no have the D shape bit on the end so I replaced this last night also and "CHECK BRAKE PADS" warning still there.
Any ideas?

3. Transfer box neutral is appearing randomly on the dash and the wee green mountain symbol lights up.
I have tried putting the car in Low box and driving it and also disconnected the cable to the transfer box and clean the connectors and reeconnected (Not doing it as much but still doing it).
Any ideas?

I have charged the battery overnight to double check and I have disconnected battery which alo do wonky things after reconnecting HDC not working and ABS not working, disconnected battery again and reconnected it and ABS & HDC all working again no problem.

How tempramental are these cars :doh:
Getting totally fed up with ownership and only had it a month so any help would be great.
55 plate TDV6 (Landrover said it's actually an 2006 model which I found out for parts ordering)

Oh boy...what a mess...!!

Do you have access to a Faultcode Reader? As this will help you to clear nay residual faults and diagnose new ones...

Not sure on the L322....but once you replace the Brake Pads, does it need to be hooked up and have the Brake Pad Warning reset also??

Both sensers front and back need to be replaced when changing the pads...you can't reuse the old sensers.

If the TB warning is now slightly better after cleaning the connector...you are in the right place....did you use a good electrical contact cleaner and use a toothbrush to give it a good scrub....remember WD40 is NOT an electrical cleaner and shouldn't be used on electrical connections.

How tempermental are these cars? - Very, you need deep pockets to own these things....remember it is a £65K car with £65K car running costs even if you can buy them for 2nd hand Mondeo money.

I used to own a 2001 e39 M5 which was similar with battery issues etc etc etc.
I do not have access to a code reader.
I did reuse the rear sensor cable but I have done this loads of times on the BMWs I have owned and had no problems.
Could sosomeone confirm if I need to renew the rear one then?

I used electrical cleaner on the connectors on TBox and not WD40.

Any ideas on the Parking sensors. I think but may be wrong but one of the front sensors is clicking a bit quieter than the other 7. front middle drivers side. (How do you remove this one if I need to?)
Why now do I get a single beep from the rear now which I never got prior to all 8 ticking?

I understand the running costs but I would at least like a run in it first
Anyone near Lanarkshire got a code reader to read my codes?

All i know was that it was on when i got it pads were not bare min but front
One was damaged like i said.
I swapped the discs and pads and replaced front sensor.
If old one was damaged could that cause alarm code?

Is there anyother way to reset these?

Can I also ask another question in the BMW to reset a lot of codes faults etc you could disconnect the battery and touch the 2 battery leads together to drain ecu completely (with battery disconnected obviously )

Would this get rid of the brake fault thing?
And why after the code has been shown do you need to change the sensor cable? or is it if it wears on disc?

Anyone any ideas on the PDC issue?

This car including parts (sorry if this upsets you mate)

I realise it's a Landrover.

It does not bother me if it has similar parts to a BMW, I have owned many 7's in my life....

It is just you keep refering to this and that on the BMW...whilst they do share some common parts, it is not nor should it be considered to work in a similar fashion, the ECUs and their parameters, maps and trigger points are bespoke to the Land Rover Product they serve.

For the RAVE manuals you could try this link, it is around 590MB and should contain the L322 manuals aswell as the P38 and various other Land Rovers also.

1/ has the rear sensor been damaged common for stuck caliper sliders and rear could be worn giving you your"check brake pads" warning...aftermarket brake wear indicators are crap and i have had stacks of issues with them...no u dont need to reset the warning via a code reader normaly its cycle the ignition about 5 times so it then knows the pads have been replaced..
2/ transfer box neutral is normaly a dicky motor or broken wiring.
3/ parking sensors are common for broken wiring behind the bumpers but a good fault code reader will tell you what they are reading...just a ticking noise is not a good way of saying they are working they could still be reading wrongly and will shut the system down any kind of corrosion to the face of the others can also do this

Is it me, or am I just imagining it? duz the L322 have more problems than the P38? its a newer car (hows it going to cope when its 14 years old?) the technology is meant to be better shurley? it just seems that way maybe???

Designed to be too expensive to fix as vehicle depreciates- look at the joys of dual mass fly wheels- they can make it un viable on older cars to fix.
