I recently discovered that the cabin facing vents only blow cold air.....
Now the colder temps are kicking in I have been trying to get the top vents blowing hot air....

However these only get very luke warm at best.... tried most settings with no avail so left it on the cabin vents closed, window direction, Red flow on the guide (not the circulate, snowflake etc...).

Fans blow on all 3 settings but just the same temp.
Now looking for a list of possible thing is best guess type of order to try.

It demists fine but never gets nice and warm in the cab or even near :(.

Any ideas greatly appreciated as always !!

either:

airlock

past owner bypassed heater, but unlikely if the blow luke warm.

or HGF as it fill the matrix with gasses and not hot water- I know , it happned to me. and one other I know of. :(

Passing the RR over to my mechanic friend at the weekend hopefully he will be able to discern why we don't get heat and why the rear window also does not seem to demist at all.

Will update and pass on the info on HFG and air lock to him.

Silly question I know but is the engine up to temp? Should show halfway across the gauge with an 88 degree 'stat.

It gets to about 1/3 way not 1/2 on the temp gauge....
I did get a new thermostat just in case but had problems removing the housing won't budge at all.

That could be your problem. My '87 has a good heater output & the gauge hits normal temp within the first couple of miles, even after standing for a week. The heater fan is a bit noisey though but with the work involved to change it I'll put up with it!
