It dims in the dark when a light is shone on it. Won't do anything in daylight.

Like Wammers says. Test it by simply Shining a torch at the sensor when it dark. Or cover up the front sensor in daylight fooling it then shine a torch at it from the direction of the back seat.

Green LED only lights up when it starts to dim....

I trust you wired it to 12V+, reverse Light Switch and Erath and NOT to the lighting circuit right??

I did copy the Wiring Diagram into your previous post, I assume you followed this?

The system works buy measuring the ambient light conditions through a photocell on the front side of the mirror (on the plastic side that is facing forwards..!!) and it compares this reading with the sensor cell on the glass side of the mirror....if there is a large enough difference between the two readings, it dims the mirror glass by exciting the LCD liquid sandwiched between the glass and the mirror.

The Wammer is bang on (as usual) it won't work in the daytime due to the lack of sensed difference in light levels front and back.

Put your finger over the forward facing senser and then place a small torch to the rear facing senser, but try not to shine it onto the glass as you won't see much of a difference due to reflected glare...!!!

hmm..ok..
tried it in the dark...no joy...wired up properly....will check again abit later..tnx

p.s. it has this green/yellow tint when "normal"..correct????

ah..i thought led lights up when powered...retried it..works..dont like the tint though..makes spoting the fuzz harder..lol!
