Ok im after a galvo chassis for my 110 TD5, i have sittting in my garden a 1984 110 chassis that had a V8 and LT95 box in it. Now here is the dilemma, the chassis in the garden is in fairly good nick a couple of small holes but i am a welder so not a prob and then shot blast and galvo, what i need to know is weather they are the same, i know engine mounts and im guessing gearbox mounts are different but is anything else and do you think its worth changing the mounts ?

The mounts are different for the plastic TD5 tank and the engine ones are different and further forward than the V8 ones.
The R380 gearbox sits on it's own crossmember which bolts in the same place as the one that sat under the LT95.

All the rest just bolts up.

The real question is do you want to galv an old chassis which you say has problems. If you are going to all that trouble wouldn't it be better to bite the bullet and buy a new one. Fit and forget !

This is a point but all done would cost less than £350
Ok what is the 84 chassis bulkhead and log book worth on fleebay ?

Have you had a qoute for galv , bit shocking these days.
I would change the x member for a td5 one for the fuel tank mounting ,tow bar and asthetics also the rear of the chassis is slightly different.
Reckon its worth doing as td5 chassis are not as well made as the earlier ones

Would one of your TD5 x members have the mounts for fuel tank ?

Yes they do otherwise they wouldnt be any good!.
