my range rover wont start !!!!

right... i pulled up at the garage i put the fuel inb (the right stuf lol) come back to the car jumped in it and it would not start. called the AA and the geezer said it was the starter motor had it recovered home brought a brand new starter motor for it and i still have the same problem with it wont start!!. put a tester on it to see if theres any power going to the starter motor n there is, but when i try n turn it over it just makes a ticking noise anyone got any clues???? :confused::confused::confused::confused: cheers
 
i'll bet youve got a bad connection somehwre btw you cheeky sod.

clicking means the solenoid isnt getting enough juice when it tries to engage the motor.

run a jump lead from the battery to the starter and see. either that or youve got a flat battery, so you need to check your alternator.

and then become aware that thissection is for being nice and saying 'hello im new' and then when youve been a cool guy and done that you are allowed to post in the faults section and se if ayone would like to help the new member.

questions about faults with a post count of 1 are always badly received.

if its engine related then post in the engine section so more people can see it with the correct knowledge.
