Intercooler cover hole

Hi all theres a small hole in the td4 intercooler cover just above and to the right of the air inlet temp sensor/dip stick does any one know its purpose , looks as if theres a screw missing or is it a vent ? thanks

Hi james what a helpfull reply now in my defence i did say cover , said hole is just below the intercooler pipes i am tempted to block it

Hi thanx to chronium i have had a go at adding a picture arrow points to hole in question

intercooler will be in front of rad not under the pipes and will have no open holes that go through int cooler
