Nice new Spafax unbreakable convex mirror, to replace the crappy Britpart one that fell off. This is much more solid, and I've got an excellent view and less blind spot!

Also, new rear door lock assembly and barrel fitted. The old one was so worn you could turn the lock with a 10p coin, and even when locked you could just jiggle the handle until it unlocked itself!

All the bits from LRDirect, which so far seems to be excellent - good kit at the right price, delivered quickly. What a difference from P*****ks!

Now that I actually have a lockable Landy I can start keeping the collection of priceless Fabergé eggs in there again...

Oh mate ... sad news ... seriously bad or a few minors?

Nothing too serious I hope.

Not too bad, all things considered. Front radius arm bush needs replacing - these were on my "to do" list anyway. And there's yet another hole in the rear cross-member. I've had a look at the bit they're on about and I reckon I can patch it.

A couple of advisories - rear shock bushes on the way out, and an oil leak from the axle end-cap. These are also on the "to do" list so will get addressed at some point.

changed the oil in both diffs, luckily there was only a few very tiny metal shavings that the magnet picked up but its stank real bad lol, god knows when it was last changed but it was about the same thickness as water and a horrible smelly brown colour with only a tiny bit of milky colour to it.

i'm sure it'll be grateful for the nice new oil it now has :)

Made a start on my camper conversion. Just less than ½ of my tub is now a storage area with hinged lids which will double as an end support for my table. The table also doubles as part of the bed base in conjunction with another piece the same size. Once that bit is finished and works the way I want it, I'll put in more storage boxes. Pics to follow once this stage is completed.

Waxoyled the chassis using an electric spray gun I remembered I'd bought ten years ago and never used. Don't think I'll be using it for anything other than Waxoyl in the future though. Right, off for a bath in white spirit
