I had checked battery connections and fuses etc but the wiring to the starter was alien territory until Mr RAC pointed it out to me with a torch and long metal poking thing. Useful knowledge for the future I thought.

Not helped by my being slightly disabled too. I'd reverse parked the Landy up to a big hedge so couldn't access my tools even if I'd known what to do with them

Passed the MOT with only one advisory to change the wiper arm on passenger side because it come loose ( guess what brand the arm and wheel box is ) so pleased as its been on road for year since rebuild and worth the effort

Fitted all the breathers and pipes up to the snorkel. Just waiting for the push fit manifold

Finally got round to sorting the rear window fault on my disco - usual bad joint on ecu - and sorted the dry joints on my keyfob too, so just need to sort the rot, the front prop, and the engine rattle, and then its all good... til something else breaks.

De-catted me 110 !!

Sprayed another litre of Waxoyl on the chassis where I'd missed a bit and now need to service the A-Class before it takes us on holiday to Woolacombe.

Today I have been mostly replacing the throttle seal in my 300TDI injection pump, replumbing the fuel lines and generally making it work again after major fuel/air leaking problems.

Seems OK now!

Sold the Series 3.. Well I would have, but the daft c**t who came to buy it decided he didn't want it... Apparently it was in worse condition than he though as it wasn't road worthy... It was advertised as needing a lot of work to be made road worthy - Funnily enough if someone tells me that something needs a lot of work, I tend to think it needs a lot of work!!
Oh worst of all, he was a gaylander driver! Obviously the big rufty tufty trattor didn't go well with his curling tongs back and fluffy dice in the windscreen

not too sure this will work out ok, but..
as my daughter switched on my non working jammed, heater blower, last time my j plate disco was on the road, she phoned to say the disco was alight on the seafront!....
found her parked on a mini round about with doors and bonnet open..
cut a long story short / she had burnt something out big time in heater i guess.
lastweek i fitted 2 x 50mm 12volt pc cooling blowers into demister pipes, firstly cutting 4 x inch pieces from empty silicon gun-tube, then epoxy glued onto each side of 12 volt blower fans, slit demister pipes, cable tied in my blower bodges, took power from bigger power wire out of heater switch / cut and taped wire to non working fan. blowers dont blow a storm, but do move air when stationary, more when on the move. have room for 2 more perhaps....like one of bustersbus photoclips, can use a 12 v ceramic heater blower ontop dash if needed in severe weather....just did`nt fancy taking out dash for heater fan replacement...

Just finished my 200tdi conversion on me 90 wow what a difference the old girl can narf go some now well chuffed, just got ta put the egg sauce out the side behind the door now and a fresh paint job

nothing interesting for me, i just replaced the grill and headlight surrounds
anyone interested in the old ones ( a little chipped but decent enough )

Tried to start Disco and she was dead removed battery and re-charged it as it had discharged over the past week (Disco stood up)!!. Need to find out if battery if knackered or if their's a drain somewhere .... oh and I started treating the chassis/underbody and got a new pair of jeans well mucky (forgot to put overall's on!).

changed diff oils and transfer box oils and re sealed the sump that was a right pain

Let my 2 year old grandson "drive" my j plate disco..
for an old tractor of a 4X4, a 2 year old steering a disco shouts loud that there easy to steer...Our roads are "private" unadopted & sometimes cr&p, disco just tackles anything as we all know...little man just beams with the excitement..
all the switchgear gets a workout though..caution is needed.. (*~*)

Replaced all the front radius arm bushes on my Ninety. Went for Polybush in the end as I don't do huge mileage and the relative lack of longevity isn't really an issue for me. Getting the 23 year old original bushes out was fun though!

fell backwards into the headlight as my caravan handle snapped and snapped the bone in my finger... not happy...

I dare say I applied some polish today as I've got to quote a few jobs on Monday and as the merc is away, I got to take the disco.

Swivel pin bearing replaced on both sides,ball joint on drop arm replaced, fitted new Terrafirma HD steering arms and RTC damper.
