HELP plz car wont rev past 4000 and managment light comes on

Is it smoking and expelling oil out of the dipstick too?

When was the last time the crankcase breather filter was changed?

drive slower or part ex it for a defender

no smoke or oil from dip stick

and i dont no when crankcase breather filler was changed

they don;t rev past 4000, the mil light is prob because you're pushing one of he sensors too far or the turbo into limp mode thru overboost....

not for much longer it won't!!!

seriously, most diesels hit the rev limiter before it causes any damage...get it hooked up to t4 to see whats triggering the eml...

Check for a hole in the exhaust and check condition of the air filter.

ok air filter and crank shaft filter replace still problem ??

ok had it on diagnostic machine and showed low fuel pressure from low pressure fuel pump so wheres can i get on from land rover want £125
ebay ?? hit or miss anyone have a suggestion thanks

4000 rpms on a diesel ? lets get real didn't know brit diesels went that fast. 3000 to 3100 rpms here and waste gate open saves the engine. 250 to 300000 miles on our moters not uncommon, heavy trucks get 750000 miles not a problem?

Ive just changed my low pressure pump - bought an oem one plus filter from island 4x4.

My Freelander was running like a pile of crap before the change, with engine light showing occassionally and breaking down. A garage had already tested this pump and said it was ok.

I collected the parts from island 4x4 cost was just under £150.
