Relocating the spair wheel

I am just about to fit a new rear door to my 90, and have decided not to put the spare wheel onto it. Was thinking about fixing the spare wheel bracket onto the bulkhead between the back of the drivers & passenger seat. Has anybody else done this, or is there any other suggestions for securing it in the rear section? Cheers

88 series used to have the there as std you could get a series braket abd use that

You're gonna lose some storage though. Anyone seen a spare on the bonnet of a Puma? Is it doable (gonna be dabbling in overlanding so want a spare spare), cos I want to keep the roof free for a tent, and keep one on the back.

I think the bonnet ones look kool , What about one of the rear hanger ones so its not hanging off the tail door.

A rear hanger looks like a sound investment.

I keep my spare wheel in my garage. Im never far from home so if I did get a puncture I'd just drive home and pick the spare up

All my tyres are in 4s so if I get a puncture it's a full wheel change

I see yours is attached to the door, ive seen ones tha have a roller to follow the door but no idea how the lock close,

Thought fraser had its own clan instead of Colquhoun

Aye, but it's on a pivot. Ye can get the ones that lock, but fur safety reasons ah went fur one that would work when openin' the back door in an emergency (as well as not bein' a pain in the erse everytime ah opened the door)

Dunno where ye're gettin' yer Clan info from mate, but the Frasers have there own clan(s) Saltoun and Lovat. Lots of other clans are affiliated to them tho'
