1700 miles through some of Europes hottest countries in a Defender, no A/C, good chance of breaking down, all going well 3 days driving there setting off back almost as soon as your there and fuel costing about £400 each way, whats not to like:D

Mr wagstaff is a old friend of mine that breaks and repairs landys in portsmouth and he has offered to come along and act as a support vehicle carrying spares for us, if someone needs to use any parts he will only charge cost which i think is fair, hes a decent guy ex squaddie so he'll fit right in with the group so if people stick there vehicle type at the end of each name then martin will pack a mixed selection of parts.

Just seen this fred.
We're going to bulgaria some time this year too, staying in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna and Gabrovo (we got houses/relatives there), as soon as I know when we're going I'll let you know, might meet down there, and a friend of mine who thought of joining us has done some offroading in bulgaria and knows some places.

the guy organising the trip got banned from this forum then subsequently got banned from another forum which he set up with various others who were also meant to be on the Bulgarian adventure, who i know are'nt going on it
 
well, pitty.
Maybe I'll open a thread later this month as soon as I know when we're going.
Some more chaps on this forum have houses there anyway, so if we have a timetable who is down there, and when, we could organise some offroading there...

I just realised that Muddy gonzo was banned, didnt even look who started the thread...
What was he banned for? Why do they keep banning members with several thousand posts that are active and helpful?

Anyway, about BG:
I might have to speak to some people who know some bits of the country, and try to get em aboard. But as my plan for this semester will be issued only on the 14th, until then any date is just ...
