Good effort Malcolm!

I must admit, going uphills is fine but downhills on ice is always nerve-wracking - if they break traction and 2.5 tonnes of RR start sliding, there's not much hope of getting it back!

Personally, it's been fine in 2nd or drive for all the uphills, but downhills I have stuck it in low range and mostly second so far, although would use 1st on anything particularly steep/icy! :)

1st low range might be too low! That's what I was in when I has my little mishap. I think I may have retained traction if I had been in 2nd low. Maybe.

Sean - I'm only yanking ya chain, don't worry! ;)

Dubnut - that looks like a nice RR, any change of a bigger pic?

kooky - good effort, got a bigger pic of your avatar?

It looks even less snow in this pic!!!

Have done the motorbike-in-the-snow thing myself - one particular journey involved 4 hours up the A1 in a snow storm that caused HGV's to pull over rather than carry on! All on a Triumph TT600. Fun fun...

Sorry they're a bit late but I've just got in...
Just to show you that you can get snow under your RR tires without having a bad day!

think the OP was expecting some pics of a RR IN snow, and not parked ON snow - there's hardly a picture where the entire depth of yer tyres cant be seen

IN snow not ON snow

this wasnt particularly deep but it's getting on for a foot deep, and it's not on me drive, in a layby or missing a roof

a thought posting a few of a 110 would stir you lot up, apparently not

;)

Ah Sean Here's one of my old 200tdi actually in snow (it drove out of there an hour later)

and my P38 going places others feared to thread:D:D
