Ive bought this disco today !! your thoughts please

i just got a half leather interior, door cards, centre consol, all the trim panels in the load area, seatbelts, boot door speakers inc amp(mine was missin), rear door piller speakers, bits an bobs from the dash (switches and the like), headlining, previous numpty had drilled holes in every panel and put threaded studs in everywhere? which of course just pulled straight out of the door cards cos they only a bit of foam!! dur!!!
£200 the lot.. just told me to help myself.. so didn't i just..

Wish mine was that clean inside, still the result of four kids and beening a daily driver doesn't help. Time of the year seems to be pushing up the prices on are dear old disco's. Althou i think the one you are looking at providing it hasn't got a nasty bits waiting to bite you in the arse looks to be fairly good.

thanks mate, id like it to be good and be happy with it, this threads a good eye opener tho and its given me a lot to think about and look for and armed me up well for when i return with someone who can really look and advise and look out for my interests

if it proves to be no hidden/lurking un noticed by me nasties and im given the green light and told its a good buy, then il be delighted, wel see tho,wel see

but ...NO ONE KNOWS HOW BAD THE RUST IS AS OF YET !! 1 pic of a rusty arch thats being replaced,when the other was fine, everyone seems to be repetitive, im only after some help and info, pleasee dont post if you just want to have a dig or go on , no one cares about the old ford or bmw ??? ....maybe not, but sokme people are droning on and on about how discos need money and love spent on them like i havnt got a clue and im some sort of idiot who drives around in 2008 mondeo oblivious to rust and work on cars

the internet and forums are there to help people , newbies ask repetitive questions or same threads popping up, if your not the type to be of helpfula ssistance, then leave the ones that are to it, so hopefully them new members can buy and avoid the right cars, where you not a newbie once ?? did you once buy a 4x4 not having a clue about them but wanted one ??? ... give me a break

Given that one arch is that bad, then there is a very high chance the wheel arches,inner wings, sills, boot floor and rear cross member will be on the way out as well...every one is just giving you friendly advise base on experience

Actually, looking at the pic again, it looks as if it has been patched before. I wonder if other places have been patched, repaired, or not done yet.
I think thing to learn here, is not to pay a deposit until you have looked at it properly

thats what i thought, a 13 year old car with a rusting arch edge ? never !! lol

but..as stated i did have a good uneducated granted, look around, i knoww t rust is , and couldnt see anything bad anywhere else and it looked good underneath, but anyway,weree going round in circles now until its looked right over properly and i deliver the verdict, you al may be laughing if it proves a dud, but il be releived not to have wasted my money n moving on to the next find n posting more, but i may also get green light and told shes a goodun and the wings been done to a good decent standard and properly, and everything else is ok, and il have a nice disco , who knows

LOL, i did actualy just laugh right out loud then !!

well, he didnt ring today...so its snow/welding being done thing, im glad mind as its gave me more time, and also maybe suggests a little the mot/service/welding, wasnt rushed through

wel see what happens tomorrow and snow situation in the morning and if the its ready call comes
