door lock not working

hi all can anyone help me out here, drivers door wont lock off key fob checked all fuses and all connections behind the door card.

Does light flash when button pressed and can u unlock using the key code?
I have had button come unsoldered on my rangie and it worked when i resoldered it back on .
then you have to read owners manual to get the locks working

Is the lock powered to lock/unlock when the sill button is depressed or raised or does it feel and sound like a purely mechanical function without any power assistance...if this is the case, good chance the motor is shot in the lock. FIX..replace the latch assembly at either £130 genuine new (Island 4x4) or second hand.

everything works i can lock/unlock all doors with key from outside and i can also lock/unlock all the doors by pressing the door lock from inside aswell

Aye but that's not what Irishrover asked you. When you press the button down from the inside, does it feel like it's being helped and can you hear any motor type sounds? If the answer is no to those two questions, it's likely that your central locking motor is shagged and you'll need to replace it as The Man says. (I know as I've just done mine for the same reason).

No, he means the actual door catch and lock assembly - the bit that holds the door closed. You can't renew any bits on this assembly. You have to renew the whole lot. They're available from Landrover stealers at around £130 or second hand from breakers but you pays your money and takes your chance with those.

Even more convinced now that the latches need replacing...the fronts that is.
