not sure if this is the right place to put this post but looking for an expedition prepared landrover, maybe someone who has recently returned and needs to sell their vehicle?

Cheers

Ben,

Check out the HUBB. I have seen many Rovers and Cruisers going there in the 4x4 FS section.

Besides looking in the obvious places, this and LR mags are your best option. They sometimes come up on 4x4 web to.

Hi Griff.

How long before yer leave on the big trip ????

We were looking at early 2013 to give us enough time to clear debt and save enough for the trip.

I dont like the idea of getting into debt for a trip so realistically this is the only way. its ony 2.5 years way now, so not long :)

Been wondering recently if this is the best thing to do. The money to time ratio is pretty low with a vehicle, been toying with a bicycle overland trip instead! same route, but I could go for much longer and easier with a bike on the same funds. Only problem is the doris isn't keen. hmmm...

I have a different view on that, if you borrow the money, and then you get captured by Angry Killer Cannibal Lesbian Vampire Pygmies, think of the satisfaction just before you are killed and eaten, knowing that you shafted the bank :D

we got a loan to do our trip and hammered the credit cards to, have a good long thing about doing it this way as it fooks you right up when you get back. we now cant afford to do much and the landy is now parked up in the garage as we cant afford to put her back on the road as she need a new tranny box, mot, tax and insurance,

we saved for ages for ours...and am now saving for ages for the next...summer 2012 is hopefully when we go

Might be an idea to go to some of the shows & let some people know what you're after...any excuse for a weekend away with Landies! There is Foley in Essex who supply used exped vehicles...

looks awesome, can remember when you first posted it someone had wet dreams over it, what sort of money would that go for?

Probably 50000Aus dollars. Depends on what I spend between now and when I finish it although it doesn't need much more spent. Just time of which I don't have a lot to spare at present. i have a full time job, OC of 2 army cadet units and have 5 other series landies I'm restoring. Never get bored

just awesome...im very jealous

Not really a expedition vechile, more a pimp my landy rover rover.

Agreed!

A 110 makes a better expedition vehicle. Longer wheel base gives smoother ride on long journeys. Strip out all unnecessary seats and you can load everything inside vehicle
