Hi all!

can i remove the back seats in our frrelander (54 plate)?
Need to transport a fish tank 48 inches long and only have 46 inches of space with seats folded up!

There are hinges under the front of the seats you'll need to undo from the body. You'll need a torx bit in your socket driver but i can't remember what size off hand. They have two bolts in each hinge i think, the back bolt you'll need to access when the seats are folded up.

Thanks at least not all on here are morons like the other person who was so helpfull!

Just had a look and there are no torx headed bolts at all! i got a bolt under the front of the seat and the one underneath the seats which looks like it will take the whole hinge off! is this correct?

The thickness of your skin is being analyzed and your humor quotient is being measured. You see these are very exacting technicians here at the LandyZone and this info is pertinent.

Please be patient and keep smiling. Your answer will come providing that you don't storm off in a snit.

Yep that's right. The one at front faces towards the front seats, the ones at back face straight up. Two hinges on each seat i think.

thanks freebiker! the two bolts will indeed take the hinge off the body of the car!
perhaps yours is different cos ours is a 54 plate?

No problem, they possibly changed the type of bolts at a certain point in time.

Was over a year since i removed my seats, don't think i'll ever put them back in again. My toolbox has pride of place in the middle now.

cant see the wife going for that lol!

ill only be taking them out for a few hours just to transport a large fish tank
