I was doing the tippex test on my VCU, I marked what I thought was the correct positions, made a few left and right hand turns, stopped looked under the hippo only to see the two tippex marks still in the exact same position
.
Well needless to say my back side nearly fell out :mooning:.
So there I was thinking O ****!!!!!!
Until I touched the VCU, and to my suprise it was warm, My backside slowly sucked itself back in.
I had only marked the wrong parts:doh: marked the right parts and there was movement.
But my Million $ question is. " How stiff is stiff" on a VCU before it starts to fail? There is resistance when turning, but I have been told this is normal? Is there any way to tell if its starting to sieze up?
Is there a Torque figure for a new VCU, tested on the bench.
