Well I never, it looks like it was something to do with that large fuse under the bonnet, it was 30A and had blown sometime in the past and the previous owner wrapped Fues wire around the spades, I guess he didn't have a spare one and this was going g to be a 'Temp' fix, that has lasted 5 years...

I have no lights at all, but will try the dim/dip relay. Ive found a supplementary diagram in the Haynes manual for the Dim/Dip circuit.....another avenue to go down ;)

Thanks Mojo, I think there is a fuse box with large fuses under the bonnet somewhere and yes, there is a pink relay behind the binnacle, what is this used for and is it a normal type relay just pink in colour? As you can tell, I'm fairly new to messing with these but worked for BT so understand...

Ive been having issues with the temp gauge on my 90, fitted with a Disco 200tdi, Im looking into replacing the gauge in the binnacle with a capillary gauge. Can I just remove the sender from the thermostat housing and then screw the new one in its place?

When i 1st bought my 90 it had seats in the back, i informed DVLA as log book said 2 seats only. DVLA wanted photo's of the seats in the vehicle. I gave up and just removed the seats!

Out of curiosity, where did you get it MOT'd last year? Surely if it is this bad they should have started finding things last year? Good luck with the journey :)

How do you secure the radio and CB? Do you have to cobble/manufacture some kind of brackets and work out some fixings to hold it in place?

Th dog has a harness that fits to a seat belt clip and can be adjusted so he doesn't smear himself against the dash under braking....

We've just bought a Border Terrier pup and i'm working out how to fit him in the 90. It has no seats in the back and i don't want to install him in a cage, it takes up space and he won't get the 'thrill of the ride' I'm thinking of removing the cubby box between the front seats and making a box...

The recovery guy had a look and confirmed it was the turbo that has gone :(

My mate has a 2004 Freelander TD4 HSE. While driving it today it seems to have blown the turbo, smoked like a good un and no power. Any suggestions of a place around Gloucestershire where he can source a replacement?
