Hey Just finally got the rave manual back, and it states the code p1142 means;Throttle potentiometer 2 / Ratio of throttle potentiometer 2 signal to air flow implausible" Any idea what this means, do I need a new throttle body? thanks

Hey little confused here, i have a 2002 landrover freelander that overheats only when i press the accelerator (driving) but soon as i slow down to red light its goes to normal?? no coolant leaking, heat works, and drives normal, carpets dry,no fogged windows, :confused: Recently replaced...

welll the thing is the spark plugs all check out fine, no oil or coolant is mixing, either... how would i know if it was the radiator, i assume the systoms of the radiator are normal? thankyou peeps.lol

ok long day, :( my freelander has confused me so much....! Ive re-replaced the stat, and flushed the complete motor/pipes/rad/cooling units etc. new waterpump, and a while back added a used radiator. now the car runs nice. Though it has no heat, or extremly low heat...and eventually...

Ok, i just got a therm straight from the dealer, hey i been driving for about a year with 50/50 green coolant and my manual says (OAT) i think orange(dex) well at least the coolant tank shows orange.... could this be a possible reason for stat malfunction, via (dex) is for aliumium/brass/copper...

So bottom line freelanders take orange not green????? Correct

well what i've found was the block was somwhat clogged, so i flushed it several times, looking at the thermostat, it seems to be working, i've boiled it and it has seemed to open... but the bottom part of the stat just streches out,... im wondering if its even opening right... is the first image...

i taken the radiator upper hose off a while back and ran water trough the top radiator hose and water comes out the bottom, same vice versa,,,,, so the radiator cant be clogged... but im still wondering if its bad... the therm was recently changed.... and i'm not sure if that would cause no...

ok checked the spraks and thier clean... I'm stubbed... i have no heat, and the car overheats,,, it builds excessive pressure when i rev the motor for some time... would a bad radiator cause "no heat" or is it clearly my thermostat or heatercore,,, ??? :?

yea sorry it took so long to reply, but im going to check if spark plugs, to see which head i might need to replace.... Hey is it common to mill a head before replacing the gaskets? oh and to answer perious question, i changed the therm and waterpump beacuse thier seemed to be no circulation...
