Hey there! i have the same problem it seems..after changing battery the car won't start (no problems getting in)..perhaps you want to email me at [email protected] if you still have that syncmate? (i have a diesel though / think these ones will be different for different models) Thanks!

Hi, thanks for answering..I have tried this method now a few times, but no luck it seems!?!? The radio and windows, sunroof etc work ok (after i got initial error messages) and the starter engine (if there is such a thing) works..just not the main engine..too bad!

Hi, just a quick (i hope!) question related to a battery-change for my P38, diesel, 2001 car.. I changed the (flat) battery on the car and now I get a few of the error messages (windows, sun-roof etc) that I think can be fixed..But, I also can not start the car; it is turning, but not firing up...

Hi, thanks for replying. No, there are no warning lights at all. The car does not set off in 3rd, in fact it barely catches 1st and barely moves even if revs at 2-3000.. After 1- 2 minutes (perhaps whenever engine a little warmer) it does catch a gear or two, but still does not move at more than...
