What have you done to your Landie today.

Fitted some air horns. If people are going to drive like they're blind, they might as well be deaf too.

    Axle/hub wobble

The shims allow for wear to be adjusted out of the swivel I believe. Mine had an advisory for play in the swivel, but last week while giving it a Waxoyl, my very learned father in law showed me that it was a wheel bearing issue and not the swivel. With the wheel jacked off the ground, the...

Thought about moving the spare wheel off the tailgate and into the back. Tried it. Thought again.

Marvelled at how little of its fluids are dripping out. Must time to check some levels.

Family picnic, then watched Mrs Roosta get busy with the T-Cut while I found out what other shoddy workmanship had befallen our baby prior to our ownership. Ordered some new hub covers and fitted a new handbrake gaiter.

Removed several more kilograms of Derbyshire from the underside. Thankfully the muppet from whom the motor was purchased had had the foresight to Waxoyl said kilograms so they were at least all nice and dry.

Patched my filigree diff pan, refitted resealed caliper and actually drove it. Mrs Roosta was beside herself with excitement.

    Authentic

I have just noticed that my Land Rover ownership experience has just reached a new level of authenticity - my trolley jack is ****ing oil all over the garage as well.

Exmoor Trim Defender 90 tilt sticks fitting instructions

Update - apparently bending the flange down is an approved modification. Who knew?

Picked up new caliper seals and pistons along with a box of chemical metal to seal the diff pan.

Removed near side binding front caliper and identified need for new bits. New bits also required for both swivels. Expressed joy to wife.

Which wheels look best opinions please

I upgraded to hurricanes - loved the look and easy to keep clean.

Wondered about how best to tackle to oil which refuses to stay in the rear diff.

Exmoor Trim Defender 90 tilt sticks fitting instructions

Thanks for that Thor. It's really looking like I will need to bend down the flange on the top rail to allow the tilt to run down smoothly into the side rail but that can't be an approved solution. Clearly some thought required. Hopefully Exmoor will come good with the destructions sometime soon.

Exmoor Trim Defender 90 tilt sticks fitting instructions

Ah well yes, I found that one but dismissed it as it was for an 88. Silly me, and thanks for your 45 seconds Either there is a difference between the older and newer versions, or mine (and therefore probably others) are not quite made right, but the rear corner of the top channel is not...

Exmoor Trim Defender 90 tilt sticks fitting instructions

Hi all, The Diffy I've just bought has a very new looking Exmoor Trim tilt and sticks but they really don't seem to have been fitted very well. The motor came with no paperwork for the installation of he sticks, just how to fit the tilt. There doesn't seem to be a way on mine for the tilt to...

    Identifying low grade aftermarket parts

Excellent advice, and many thanks for it. I would rather pay more and get better performance, but without necessarily going to the OE item, so knowing about the 'G' is most useful.

    Identifying low grade aftermarket parts

Hi all, I'm looking to rebuild a lightly binding front brake caliper (1993 200tdi) and have read in the forums that avoiding Britpart seals and pistons is the way to go. Having searched for available kits (Rimmer Bros ebay and similar), their aftermarket parts are just labelled as...
