    I went through this recently - spec is actually a bit of toe out (wheels pointing away from the straight ahead position) but this had given me some edge wear on the tyres. When i had it reset after fitting new rear tyres and switching rears to front i had the wheels set in the straight ahead...

    I use 5W30 fully synthetic - 5 litres for oil and filter change - change it every 10,000 kms approx (or when i feel like it )

    Yesterday i changed the 2 ancilliary drive belts - a/c belt was starting to crack nicely then treated the engine to new oil and filter. why are the copper washers supplied with FL1 Td4 oil filters always too small ??? today took of the wheels, cleaned around the hub mating surfaces, lightly...

    exactly !!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway - now waiting for belts to be delivered so will do that and an oil and filter change and then stick the undercover back on - correctly this time !

    it started after refitting the undertray ............... looks like i goofed up anyway after inspecting everything i ordered new belts as there is some cracking and they have never been changed in the 6 years of so i own the car thanks for your comments

    I presume you mean it wont shift when pulling it up by hand ...? if thats the case then a stripdown is the only way forward easy job once you get the bits

    Read somewhere that "K&N" type filters just aren't worth it - they have bigger holes thereby allowing bigger particles through and the oil can foul your MAF I dont think a missing speed sensor would give you a hot wheel - unless you spend all your life braking hard - more likely to be a slight...

    Freeloader1 - can I change clutch without an engine hoist

    The biggest problem i had was getting the gear box back on - its heavy and unwieldy - in the end i had to use a hoist to hold its weight whilst getting it into position - but i did do the job single handed with no help so maybe if the wife can support the weight of the gearbox whilst you line it...
