    Fekkin Greanpeace

My V8 runs on LPG and pumps out up to 90% less harmful cr*p than the average car exhaust. Why do these idiots target land rover when the average family salon kicks out more sh*t than my disco???

Have you checked the fluid level in your power steering pump reservoir?

    NEWBIE...... Advice much appreciated

Your diff lock is stuck. Take this as a good sign 'cos it means the vehicle has never been used for any offroad work. What you need to do is get the front end of the vehicle up on ramps and get right in underneath the boxes with a can of wd40. Get the missus or a mate to sit in the drivers...

    Help Needed Frustrated

I've got an airbox (with element) from a '96 V8 disco if its any use to you? I don't know if the V8 has the same box as the tdi, and mine's a 300 series not a 200. It needs a couple of new clips but you'd be welcome to have it if you can use it..?

    I'm thinking of buying a defender...but

Take your time with that. Drive as many as you can, and take along your defender owning friends when viewing too...

    RR conversion experiences?

Hey John, know what you mean about the mileage!!! I had the same problem but vice verca; I was getting horrendous backfires on gas but the petrol ran 100%. In the end I had a new reducer fitted to the gas system and everything is now a-okay. Check your ignition system and also have your...

    in search of power

Thats about par for the course. Check your fluid levels and colour (should be a nice red) but I wouldn't get overly worried unless the box starts to misbehave.

To buy or not to buy?

I was in the fortunate position of being able to keep my Defender whilst buying the Disco for daily driving, not that I get much oportunity to drive Percy now but I just couldn't get rid of him!!! My son Max was devastated when he thought Percy was going, even Leigh-ann didn't want him to go...

To buy or not to buy?

Ahhh, thats why I bought my auto, only its both my knees that are shot, along with my foot and ankle too!!! Thats a shame 'cos it sounds like a beauty of a motor.

That is mighty impressive! Is yours a manual or auto?

To buy or not to buy?

Bloody hell!!! 23mpg? I'd be over the moon if I could get that!!! I drive from Newton to Plymouth on a daily basis and my best actual return on gas has been 15mpg, though it is an auto. Thats doing a steady 65mph, but again thats using the cruise control. Difference here is in the cost of...

To buy or not to buy?

Don't rule the V8 out completely, keep your eyes open for one that has been converted to run on LPG (which costs approx 40p per litre). You would most certainly be able to find a quite decent Classic Range Rover running on LPG in your price range, probably a couple of early Discos too. Having...

    Lights on front of 90

Yeah, they should be on when the main beam is on. The side lights come on firat, then together with dipped and main beam.

To buy or not to buy?

A friend of mine recently picked up an immaculate 1995 V8, with only 70k on the clock, for £2600. Real bargain stuff. Now it's going to cost him £1300 to convert it to run on gas, but this still means he's got an absolute blinder for less than £4k!!! Anyway, the moral of the...

    LR Modifications

No worries. Not sure what sort of max loading they would take, but I use them to secure everything from my travel fridge to my winching kit and high-lift, and that then takes in some fairly rough drives too!!! I would say that, whilst not a heavy-duty, industrial solution, they oughta work...

    LR Modifications

I cheated! I went down to B&Q and bought a few padlock clasps (see picture), which I bolted down the centre line of the floor using stainless nuts and bolts with a large drilled plate washer underneath (externally) for strength. A little silicone underneath as you place them keeps a watertight...
