Hi all, what are the two clear lenses above the indicators for? When I put my lights on, the driver's side one of these lights illuminates along with the lights. The other side does nothing so before I delve into what the problem is, I'd like to know what the hell they're for! Thanks.

Ah, on every car I'e ever had the side lights were part of the main light lens. So should the side lights stay on when the main lights are on as well?

Hi my Range Rover has seperate side lights I have seen other landy's with the seperate side lights too. I'm still putting my money that they're side lights

Yeah, they should be on when the main beam is on. The side lights come on firat, then together with dipped and main beam.

Hi

Yes they are most definately Side lights. Side lights will be constant power (meaning they can be on when nothing else is powered ie engine.

(Checked a 90 today considering buying it)

Shouldn't be a problem just take the old bulb out and put the new one in. If it keeps blowing then it could be the sign of wiring problems.

of course it could be that the new bulb wont work either in which case it may be, if the side lights are fuse seperatly, a blown fuse. or indeedy it may be a bad earth in that light. or any one of a number of things. so before you start diving in to the wirering try the simple stuff first.

Seems obvious now, side lights. I thought they may have been parking lights or such like. I've also got a light on the top right hand side at the back, above the door hinges. Can't find the switch for this anywhere. Is it aftermarket?
