I have had a closer look in daylight and the oil is bubbling out around the injector. I've bought new washers so hopefully that will do the job. cheers

When the engine is running I can see the oil bubbling out a few millimeters from where the injector goes into the head.

My old 1987 Defender 90 with a 200TDI engine has got oil leaking from the cylinder head right next to the injector nearest the radiator. Any ideas Cheers

1987 Defender 90 (originally petrol) with a 200 TDI Discovery engine Help! My heater motor has stopped working. I have taken of the switch and cleaned it up but nothing is happening. I put a meter on to the terminals on the switch, to check the voltage but only got a reading of 2.4 volts...

Is that the complete exhaust? how much would you want for it and where about are you?

I have a 1987 defender which originally had a petrol engine. before I bought it someone fitted a 200 TDI engine from a Disco. I need to replace most of the exhaust and am not sure which sections I should be buying. can anybody suggest a way of identifying. (most of the old exhaust has gone away)

I got the little bugger. The mole grips wouldn't stay on but I used needle nose pliers I gripped the edge of the circlip and managed to drag it out far enough to get my knife blade in behind then a thin screwdriver and prised it out. That's it for today will fit the new joint tomorrow. thanks...

I am changing a u-joint on th rear prop on my Defender 90. I am having a problem with a broken circlip stuck in the groove. I can move it but i can't get it out. Any suggestions ?? Don

problem solved! despite all the hammering I was gettin nowhere but when I took off the prop shaft and removed the (slack) drum retaining screws, I started persuading the drum to come off with my 2 pound hammer and bingo! it released. The shoes are badly worn, down to the rivets. so I put it back...

I would like to get the drum off but the brake has seized on. I have tried to slacken off the adjuster but it is not moving in either direction and i feel that if I cant release the brakes I won't be able to get the drum off. Anybody had this sort of catch 22 problem?
