Getting hold of the tooth rail that runs along the top of the windsceen and the infills above the doors can be a problem with fitting a full tilt, but the full tilt is obviously a lot easier to convert to topless and easier to store a rag top than a load of bodywork.

You should be able to. I have just fitted an electronic conversion kit to a standard dizzy and that works OK. This is what I fitted Malc.

It might be worth throwing a tape measure across the screens. I think the series 1 is slightly narrower than the series 3, but don't take my word for it, There will be somebody on here who knows for definite.

I might be wrong but I believe the military versions had longer shackles giving around 2" extra lift all round.

A possible problem appears to be the chassis plate is missing! Unless you have that separate. It should be fixed to the bulkhead by the gear lever next to the red and black information plate and have the chassis number stamped on it. This should match up with the chassis number stamped on the...
