hi all,i know its proberbly been asked a million times but what do i need to convert my series2 from canvas top to truck cab? is it a simple case of just swapping them or do i need more parts? thanks in advance for any info

You need the truck cab which just bolts on and ideally the truck cab plate, which bolts onto the bulkhead behind the seats. You don't have to have it but you'll have a 3" wide gap along the back if you don't!

It's not that wide! Nearer 1" of actual gap :D

And it's useful for bringing cables in and out of the cab :)

Dont do it, the truck cab is horrible, canvas is much better.

although in winter they are warmer and nicer :D

Would love a rag top for the summer though, it's on the "to buy" list
I dunno, the constant dripping of condensation and the drumming of the roof are not too good, fit a fume curtain to the canvas and its nice and cosy.

thanks for the info guys,i might try and fabricate a filler plate if i decide on a truck cab.iv rebuilt mini's and beetles so cant be too hard(famous last words)!

That would be great Rattlegun if you would be so good, I am sure there are quite a few people on here who will appreciate such a piece of information. Myself obviously included.
