Brilliant, I will try that next week and hope we have some more hot weather to test the result. Will post one way or the other. Thanks, Terry.

    Heat triggers alarm?

    Quite possibly.

    Heat triggers alarm?

More information. The car thinks the rear door is open. The door open light is on when the ignition is on but the rear glass doesn't drop. The alarm will not reset unless the door is opened and closed. I would have expected the rear glass to drop if the sensor triggered but it seems this only...

    Heat triggers alarm?

With the recent hot weather, if the rear of the car is in full sun for any length of time, the alarm triggers, the doors unlock and the back window drops as if opening the door. The central locking sounds a fault beep on the horn. The back window will go right down from the interior switch but...

    Headlamp adjustment

Do I assume I am the only one with a problem ( not the first time! )?

    Headlamp adjustment

It's not the intensity but the fact that the main beam and dip beam cover each other rather than the main being almost parallel to the ground giving extreme range.

    Headlamp adjustment

Have just been through the MOT test and had to lower the headlamps as the beams were too high. Dipped beam still seems OK but main beam is a waste of time being too close. Both beams appear to adjust at the same time so can either blind oncoming traffic by raising for a decent main beam...

Door lock fault in hot weather

Hi folks. The heat is upsetting the rear( I think ) door lock sensor. No trouble till the last couple of days. Alarm both key and remote sound the horn briefly indicating a door fault. Dash indicator shows a door open and rear window won't operate. usually slamming the rear door does the job but...

    Freely and Roverron

Fitted a Synergy and Pierburgh MAF a few weeks ago. Delighted with improvements. I had a hesitation problem when hot which is cured and using cruise it used to change down on long motorway inclines but no longer. Fuel consumption has remained around 32mpg with mixed journey types. Facelift TD4...

    Land Rover Navigation system-Any good?

My problem is that the present map system is 2003 and to update to 2008 is £176.19! More than enough to buy a good TomTom with up to date maps!!

    Headlamp adjustment

04 facelift TD4. Is the headlamp adjustment independant for main and dip beams or are they fixed in the lamp so only adjust together? At the moment main just duplicates the dip pattern and could do with shining higher for best effect.

    Alarming alarm!

Thanks for the reply. All doors and windows double checked, both key fobs tried? Didn't do it at all today. Will change fob batteries and watch and see!

    Alarming alarm!

Sorry, always questions. 5 door, 53 facelift Freelander TD4. The alarm goes off every other day, sometimes 2 or 3 times. If unlock/disarm then lock a beep from the horn sounds. The rear window will only go down from inside the car but not up? Using the key in the rear door raises the window and...
