here in northern ireland all mots are done at government test centres, no repairs done pretty trustworthy as always a few nob eads but generally very good service and there open till 8pm mon to sat there is no free retest think its about £18 i can see it over time going the same way over there

just re run the solders can be done in about a hour, mine was still showing 12 volt at stop solonoid but the current was to weak lift plunger i tested this using a bulb

behind heater controls, if this is at fault you'll have no power at your stop solonoid, which is on pump above injector pipes

would definitely be checking with a tape measure as 40mm is a big amount to be out, would expect you to feel it crabbing while driving along you really want your alinement to be as true as poss
